- Ductless mini-splits are a quiet and economical way to turn your patio, deck, or sunroom into a year-round seasonable space. This two-unit system has an air handler that mounts on the inside of the outdoor space and a condensing unit located outside the area. The two are easily connected with a small 3-inch lineset (copper piping) that runs from the outdoor unit to the air handler that’s mounted on the wall or ceiling. Designed to last 15 years or more, ductless mini-split systems also improve air quality as each wall-mounted unit has its own filter.
- Hanging gas heaters can be mounted high on a wall or from a high ceiling or overhang. Economical to run, these outdoor units burn hotter than electric heaters and warm up your patio quickly. Hanging gas heaters also don’t have the footprint of propane floor units, a plus for smaller spaces. And while a hanging natural gas heater can be a little more expensive than an electric-powered one, it’s usually much more cost-effective in the long run. Wiring and installation are a breeze.
